To re-operationalise your account

Customers are required to visit the nearest HDFC Bank branch in person and submit an application stating the reason for non-operation, along with the following documents:

A valid ID proof and address proof (as per the Bank's acceptable document list)

A request on the company’s letterhead signed by authorised signatories, accompanied by valid ID documents (as per the Bank's acceptable document list)

For E-HDFC Ltd. Deposits Transferred to IEPF

Dear Depositors,

  • In terms of Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (Accounting, Audit, Transfer and Refund) Rules, 2016 (IEPF Rules), as amended, 2019, the information in respect of,

    unclaimed deposits and interest accrued thereon in respect of 7 (seven) financial years, have been uploaded on www.iepf.gov.in and www.hdfcbank.com

  • Please note that the details of unclaimed deposits are updated on a monthly basis.
  • Deposits not claimed within seven years from the date of its maturity, will, in terms of the provisions of Section 125(2) of the Companies Act, 2013, be transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF), established by the Central Government. However, in terms of Section 125(3) of the Companies Act, 2013 and Rule 7 of IEPF Rules, a deposit-holder can claim the deposit from IEPF after its transfer, by making an application in Form IEPF 5 online please visit (http://www.iepf.gov.in/IEPF/refund.html)
